Join us at Kier Transportation, where we are working brilliantly together to make a difference, supporting the movement of people, goods, and equipment.Location: Edmonton, LondonHours: 45 hours per weekWhat will you beresponsible for?As Senior Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in the delivery of a wide range of highway maintenance works including reactive incident response, winter services, planned maintenance and preventative works that keeps the highway defect free and traffic flowing around the network, the client budget per year for these services are circa 20 million. Your day to day will include:Subcontractmanagement, procurement / task order instructions, payments, changecontrolmanagement, revenue claims and WiPmanagementPricing of works, agreeing priceswith the client and attendingclient meetingsProviding month-end reporting; CVR's, revenue claims, and WiP / debtmanagementSupporting with the commercial forecasts based onclientannual budgetsregularly updatingthe forecast based onclientspendsGuiding junior members of theCommercial teamWhat are we looking for?This role of Senior Quantity Surveyoris great for you if:You hold a degree inQuantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, with previous experience within a commercially focused environment andan understanding of the Highways Method of MeasurementHave knowledge of pricing of highwayworks and an ability to handle large volumes of data given the nature of highway maintenance worksDemonstrate experience in thecontrol and management of all subcontractor elements with detailed contract experience using the NEC form of contract and various optionsWe're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
