The GBC provides colleagues from across the Aon network with access to specialist brokers and client managers, dedicated client solutions and thought leadership, and significant global insurance capacity.The GBC works with network colleagues to deliver market-leading solutions to Aon clients, creating a competitive advantage in our placement strategies worldwide.What the day will look likeAs a Senior Broker, some of your key responsibilities will involve:Core functional activity:Client relationship management (direct clients and/or network)Client meetingsLead quote brokingSecondary functional activity:Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clientsEstablish and manage pipelineProduce and/or deliver tendersPresent terms to client/networkReview/Create/Enhance SubmissionReview draft/final MRCFirm Order broking (Ebix/wet stamps/email)Follow market brokingMarket relationship managementDefine marketing strategy (specific to placement)Record broking activity in market sheetsComplete quoteProvide technical wording advice to client/networkProvide technical training/guidance to colleaguesCoaching and mentoringOccasional (optional) functional activity:File maintenance - ECMScan/index final agreed slipSPS design/placementRespond to A/c queriesCreate bespoke wordings/clauses (per client)Develop best in class product wordings (for SPS/product etc)File Reviews/Technical Reviews/Peer ReviewsDevelop strategy & goalsSkills and experience that will lead to successAs a Senior Broker, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:Excellent understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processesAbility to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client serviceExperience of managing effective client relationshipsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsHigh level of numeracyEffective communication and presentation skillsExcellent understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulationAbility to work well as part of a teamHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
