Our renewable energy assets provide green power to industry across the UK.We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Engineer to join our geoenvironmental consultancy teams based in Durham. You will have postgraduate experience in geoenvironmental or geotechnical consulting.To be successful in your application you must demonstrate:A strong academic background in a relevant subject e.g., Engineering Geology/Environmental Engineering with knowledge of both geotechnical engineering and contaminated land risk assessmentWorking towards chartership/achieved chartership with a relevant professional bodyExperience in carrying out Site InvestigationsA good understanding of contaminated land regulatory and legislative frameworkA good knowledge of the principal soil and rock strata encountered in the UK and are able to log samples using the descriptions contained within BS EN ISO 14688-1&2: 2018, BS EN ISO 14689: 2018 and BS:5930:2015+A1:2020The ability to use conceptual models to design and justify the nature and scope of site investigation worksExperience in undertaking factual and interpretative Phase I & II assessmentsExperience in business development and tenderingProject management experience and line management of junior staffStrong experience in liaison and engagement with clients and regulatorsBasic computer literacy and experience with standard MS packages such as MS Word and MS Excel.
