Technical Process Engineer Contract Duration: 6 months initially Working Hours: Mon - Friday, core office hours (09:00 - 17:00) Rate: 32.00 per hour (PAYE), 39.85 per hour (Umbrella) Location: North Londonor Crawley Our client Rolling Stock client is known for providing innovative solutions and are looking for a Technical Author/Engineer to join their North London or Crawley based team. This person must be a highly skilled problem-solver who has Mechanical/Electrical and technological expertise in implementing strategies, evaluate processes, and build upon an infrastructure with Health and Safety at the forefront. In this role, the technical engineer will work with systems, designing health and safety documents, developing and revising Engineering documents, and testing and integrating them at every stage of a project lifecycle. Objectives of this role Design, develop, implement, and test technical solutions based on business requirements. Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively Serve as the team's technical subject-matter expert and a resource for technical escalation and create Technical Documentation Identify enhancement opportunities and assist in developing them across the enterprise through innovation and automation Engage with senior managers regularly, reporting on project status, activities, and achievements Responsibilities Identify, analyze, and evaluate mature and transition technologies to satisfy emerging requirements Writing VMI's and instructions on the task chain Standardize processes and automate monitoring using technologies Fitting of components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks Conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption and establish preventive measures Create reports and documentation for findings and solutions Required skills and qualifications: Three or more years of experience in a technical role Rolling stock background Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment Must have relevant experience in an engineering environment Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio-hazards, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Ability to use a laptop for diagnostic purposes Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications Knowledge of Health & Safety including biohazards, manual handling and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Ability to understand and care for tools, equipment, and PPE Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications Ability to use a laptop for diagnostic fault finding and rectification purposes Rullion supports applications from a diverse talent pool.
