Morgan McKinley is recruiting for an Operations Analyst on behalf of a leading investment bank based in Belfast on an initial 12 month contract.Rate: 425/umbrella per day.Overview:The EMEA Regulatory Operations (Reg Ops) Depositor Protection (DP) team performs a key role in a number of DP processes including Single Customer View (SCV) exception reporting, SCV engine mapping table updates and validating the completeness and accuracy of regulatory files generated. The group acts as central point of contact within Reg Ops for DP issues enabling transparency and escalation and is responsible for participating in the Business aligned Depositor Protection Oversight Group meeting.Role Overview:This role is within the Depositor Protection (DP) Regulatory Operations team as part of the Belfast Regulatory Operations department. The individual will be primarily responsible for Business As Usual (BAU) related tasks for DP across the 5 Legal Entities supported by the team.Reg Ops provide monitoring and oversight of the SCV engine and related controls, including producing data quality exceptions reports and other MIS from the engine.The candidate will be continuously engaged with Business as Usual (BAU) partners identifying areas for testing, raising observations for improvements and following up to ensure processes and procedures are updated as required. Reg Ops is working on building upon the existing DP governance process within Ops working closely with DP Business Managers, Technology and the Client Asset & Depositor Protection Oversight Office.Key Responsibilities:To complete all BAU tasks assigned on a daily basis.Request production of SCV and Exclusions View for CBNA London within 24 hours of a request from either the PRA or FSCS, or upon a similar requestUpon request, co-ordinate the retrospective running of regulatory reporting as required.To co-ordinate the response to regulatory queries on the SCV system (as required).Adherence to all Control and Compliance requirements and updating procedures as required.To maintain the mapping documentation of requirements to controls in the SCV engine.Oversee the remediation of issues and observations raised to closure.Produce MI that tracks effective observations and share with relevant stakeholders and governance forums.Identification of areas for improving existing regulatory reporting processes and controls, supporting the Change Team, Technology and other relevant stakeholders to deliver technology solutions for manual processes, assisting with UAT where required.Participation in ad-hoc projects as required.Development Value:Develop regulatory understanding with opportunity to develop into a DP subject matter expert (SME).Develop an in depth knowledge of the products, markets and processes being supported.Exposure to senior management groups across Operations.Fully proficient in the use of technology within own department.Knowledge/Experience:The ideal candidate would have experience in Securities & Banking Operations, or in a Control or Regulatory/Compliance function with strong product knowledge and a working understanding of systems and product flows.Knowledge of Depositor Protection rules and regulations would be advantageous.Team player who works well with colleagues of all levels in achieving value-added results.Ability to build productive working relationships across OperationsAbility to consistently deliver work of a high standard whilst under pressure.Understand the front to back technology used within the day to day processes.
