SYR are working with a leading engineering firm at the top of their game in the maritime space. Heralded as leaders at what they do, the brand engineer and design a range of projects in both the small craft and much larger ship world. With a wide range of international projects currently underway they seek a talented draftsperson to handle all matters related to production and technical drawings.Reporting into the Head of Naval Architecture, duties will include:- 2D output for fabrication, components, assemblies and cutting files- Accurate drawing generation to be stored on the in house PLM and also to be provided to class and flag for ratification and verification- Ensuring that all drawings fall within tolerance requirements and will suit the needs of volume production build- At times, creation of files in 3D. In a candidate we seek skills and expertise in large vessel drafting for vesselse such as frigates, tankers, container vessels and similar. Ideally someone with a solid understanding of steel and aluminium, whereas composites would be a plus. Likewise a knowledge of working with DNV, Lloyds and ABS would be preferrable. You'll be supporting across the business, so an outgoing and approachable manner are essential as is the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently. A salary of up to 50,000 is offered along with a host of strong benefits.
