Job descriptionCampbeltown Bond Limitedis a brand new, state-of-the-art, fully racked and fully automated HMRCapproved excisewarehouse, capable of maturing 38,500 casks of whisky, less than 1,000 metres from the Atlantic Ocean. Once completed, this facility will also encompass a large bottling hall, comfortable tasting room, cooperage, humidity-controlled bonded cigar maturation room, on-site shop, cafe and much more...We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and knowledgeable Excise Warehouse Manager to lead and oversee all warehouse operations within a safe environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations related to goodsin excise duty suspension, while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency, security, and accuracy. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, theExciseWarehouse Manager will also be the subject matter expert (SME) in all areas relating to the buying, warehousing, moving, and selling of bonded itemsboth duty paid and in duty suspension.Key Responsibilities:HMRC Compliance and Regulation Management:-Customs Warehousing Procedure (CWP)- Ensure full compliance with customs warehousing systems, enabling the storage of goods with customs duties and VAT suspended, in line with HMRC regulations.- Manage the submission of accurate customs declarations when goodswithin the customs procedureenter or exit the warehouse, ensuringimportduties are paid when required.Excise Duty Suspension:- Enforce compliance with Excise Notice196/197, managing the storage and movement of excise goods (such as alcohol and tobacco) under excise duty suspension.- Maintain accurate accounting of excise goodswithin the excise duty suspension regime, ensuring full visibility and reporting of stock levels, and verifying that all movements comply with HMRC requirements.-Knowledge of and compliance with theEMCS (Excise Movement and Control System)- Operate and manage EMCS for tracking the movement of excise-Understanding of the interaction between customs legislation and excise legislationAny experience of the cask management software 'VAPOUR' is advantageous, but not essential.Highly competitive package available.
