Job Description

Responsible to: Operations ManagerLocation: Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK. The role requires regular travel to Baca properties in Loughborough and other locations where Bacas services are delivered.Contract Type: PermanentHours: 37.5 hours a weekSalary: 23,985 to 25,092 per annum for full time hours.About Us: Baca is dedicated to supporting unaccompanied young refugees, helping them achieve their potential and rebuild their lives for a better future. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Operations Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of young asylum seekers and refugees.Overall PurposeProvide administrative support to the Operations Team.Assist the Premises Team, including regular visits to properties.Support the leadership team as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and track utility readings for Bacas properties, ensuring accurate billing.Be present at properties when contractors are on site.Support recruitment processes, including processing applications, organising interviews, and planning inductions.Maintain up-to-date Health and Safety paperwork and administer checks on all Baca properties.Provide IT support, including setting up laptops, mobile phones, and ensuring internet and phone services are operational.Manage office and property supplies, conduct quarterly checks, and ensure first-aid kits are stocked.Organize team events, produce reports, and support other administrative activities as required.General DutiesBe a role model, practicing Bacas values.Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to Bacas policies and procedures.Treat all staff and young people fairly and without prejudice.Employ correct procedures for safeguarding incidences or concerns.Personal SpecificationEssential:Alignment with Bacas values and mission.Ability to work as part of a diverse team.Passionate, humble, disciplined, and proactive.Flexible attitude and resilience under pressure.Experience with Microsoft Office and online email systems.Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to drive/travel to all Baca service locations.Enhanced DBS clearance.Desirable:Knowledge of safeguarding practices.Understanding of issues faced by young refugees.Experience in customer care and ICT troubleshooting.ApplicationsIf you are passionate about making a difference and meet the above criteria, we would love to hear from you.
