Are you an ambitious Town Planner looking at taking your next step in your career?Do you want to work for one of the national planning consultancy with opportunities to progress while it goes through a period of growth?You will be working closely with the rest of the planning team and report directly to the planning director. The business is currently in growth mode and adding to its planning team due to the changes in the NPPF and national housing targets. You will be working on several very exciting and high-profile planning applications in Bristol and the South West.You will be a town planner with 2-5 years post-graduation experience in developer, council, or planning consultancy in London. You will have a good understanding of planning policy in Bristol.The salary on offer is 40-50k complemented by a comprehensive package. Additionally, you will benefit from a flexible hybrid working arrangement.Responsibilities:As an Senior Planner, you will have a central role in supervising and orchestrating planning and development initiatives throughout Bristol and the South West. Your duties encompass:Engaging with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects align with strategic development objectives.Formulating and presenting planning applications, with ongoing communication with regulatory bodies.Assessing and proposing resolutions for intricate planning and zoning issues.Sustaining a commitment to ongoing research, keeping up to date with local, regional, and national planning regulations and industry best practices.Key RequirementsDegree qualified and also MRTPICurrently working for a planning consultancy or residential developer/ house developer experience in strategic landDetailed experience in dealing with residential planning applications and appeals.Bright, ambitious and determined to succeed.
