And together, we can reach the remarkable day where every patient who needs us can not only survive, but thrive.If you're inspired by this vision, and feel you have the skills and experience we need to help achieve it, we'd love you to join our lifesaving team.Job Title: Cord Blood Donation CoordinatorSalary: 25,562 per annumContract: Permanent, full timeHours: 34.5 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)Location: Kings College Hospital, London, On-siteJob SummaryAct in a professional manner and adhere to Anthony Nolans and the hospitals values and standards of behaviour.Assist with education of the potential mother/donor about the Anthony Nolan Cord Programme to enable informed choice regarding the voluntary donation of cord blood.Approach as many women as possible in the maternity unit to raise awareness and thereby gain informed consent from eligible women who wish to donate.Safely collect maternal and cord blood samples according to standard operating procedures.Organise couriers and safe transportation of cord blood units with completed documentation to the cord blood bank for processing and storage.Assist with the maintenance of a clean and safe environment adhering to prevention and control of infection policies, procedures and best practice.Ensure Anthony Nolan Quality Management System is applied.Ensure and maintain complete confidentiality and Data Protection policies.Adhere to the hospitals uniform policy.Proactively engage with site Maternity Services to maximise their support for the Cord Blood Programme.Attend mandatory team meetings when rostered to do so.Ensure cord collection stock management processes and procedures are followed.Whats in it for you?A competitive salary27 days annual leave, pension scheme, childcare vouchers, access to counselling via a 24-hour Employee Assistance ProgrammeA stimulating work environment full of opportunities to learn and developLife Assurance of four times annual salaryTravel season ticket loan, Cycle to work SchemeAnd more!
