The role will involve shaping the service and ensuring excellent and compassionate care to patients.The role sits within the supportive and welcoming Neuropsychology Department comprised of 13 clinical Neuropsychologists/ Psychologists and 9 Assistant Psychologists in six service areas (General Outpatients, Neurosurgery, Cognitive Disorders, Inpatients, Stroke and Community Traumatic Brain injury).Main duties of the jobAs lead neuropsychologist for the stroke neuropsychology service, you would be responsible for the ongoing development and support of the stroke neuropsychology team as they deliver high quality neuropsychological input to the stroke pathway, supporting stroke survivors, their families, and the wider MDT. This fixed-term clinical and operational leadership role provides opportunities for creativity, service development, and the chance to make a real impact.Person specificationEducation / Training / QualificationsPostgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology to Masters or Doctoral level as recognised by the British Psychological Society and/or HCPC.Completion of the knowledge competencies in Clinical Neuropsychology required for entry onto the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists.Member of the Specialist Register of Clinical NeuropsychologistWork ExperienceExtensive experience in assessment of patients with neurological conditionsExtensive experience in delivering therapeutic interventions to patients with neurological conditionsExtensive experience of working in an acute healthcare settingExperience of working using a consultation model.Experience of supervising and managing colleaguesIf you feel you meet the requirements of the Disability Act / Two Ticks scheme and require further support/advice, please contact us on tel 0117 414 1151.Please note that stringent pre-employment checks are undertaken on all successful applicants prior to commencement in post.#J-18808-Ljbffr
