The Heart care unit is a 19 bedded Cardiology unit with 10 monitored beds and 9 cardiology step down beds with the ability to telemetry monitor 12 patients at a time.Have you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.The Heart care unit provides care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute cardiac conditions such as heart attacks, NSTEMI, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure.The Heart care unit also undertakes a number of cardiology procedures including the insertion of permanent pacemakers, loop recorders, Transoesophageal Echos (TOEs), and Dobutamine Stress Echos (DSE) along with other emergency procedures. You will also be able to demonstrate high standards of care achieved through evidence-based practice.Some cardiology experience would be desirable but not essential as you will be supported to develop your skills through our in-house cardiology competencies and study days, which are supported by our own Cardiology Consultants and ACPs. You will also be supported by the wards band 6s and ward manager.All members of staff would also be offered the opportunity to undertake the Advanced Life Support course (ALS) as part of your continued development and to provide you with the skills to manage emergency situations.You must be able to work as a team member and as an independent practitioner, adhering to the NMC code of conduct.
