March 2026 (Maternity Cover)As a VAT and Tax Analyst, you will be expected to: To support a comprehensive VAT and Tax advice service across the Sovini Group including administering the Groups VAT accounting systems, completing VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax returns and providing day to day advice and support on VAT, CIS and Tax related matters.Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.To be successful in a VAT and Tax Analyst role, the skills you will need: Degree/Part Qualified-QualifiedAAT Accountant/ATT/Qualified by experience (or equivalent).Knowledge and experience of the calculation and submission of VAT, CIS and Tax returns.Experience of working with Special and Standard Partial Exemption MethodsExperience in managing and interrogating large volumes of financial data within ExcelExperience of providing accurate and timely advice across VAT and CIS including Reverse Charge VAT in ConstructionExperienced in taking responsibility for accurate and timely reporting and working to deadlines.Ability to interrogate, extract and analyse data from a Financial Management System and produce timely, accurate and meaningful financial, management and statistical information.Awareness of key triggers influencing VAT and CIS matters.Awareness of VAT Shelter ArrangementsAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesAdvanced user of MS ExcelAbility to appraise financial, non financial and management information and statistics, summarising key points.Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.To demonstrate The Sovini Groups values in your day to day job role Success, Passion, Authenticity, Courage, Enterprise.Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential: Experience in utilising Sun Systems.So, if you are looking for a VAT and Tax Analyst role with: Competitive salary - 46,994.00Hours Hours per week (Monday-Friday)Agile working28 days holiday increasing with service.Cycle 2 Work SchemeGroup personal pension schemeLife AssuranceCareer development opportunitiesCorporate discount schemeStaff well-being and feel-good programmeApply online via our website today!Please note we do not accept approaches from recruitment agencies and only applications made via our website will be accepted.Closing date Monday 21st April 2025Please note that shortlisting may take place prior to the advert closing, if a high volume of suitable applicants have applied, the advert may close early.
