My client is looking to appoint a Senior Tender Planner to join them on a permanent basis. My client is a regional main contractor who deliver projects across a range of sectors including residential, health, education, industrial and commercial. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing professional tender programmes with associated construction methodologies as well as supporting the Bid Manager with written quality responses.Key Responsibilities Thorough review of tender documentation to determine key information, e.g. project constraints which provide the foundation for tender programmesAttendance at site visits to ensure full understanding of proposed schemesMeetings with subcontractors, designers and stakeholders to ensure accurate programme allowances, driving best value and innovative proposalsProduce well-constructed and considered logic linked tender programmes built from first principle planning, with defined critical path and resource allocationProduce phasing plans, traffic management plans and methodology diagrams to support tender reviews and quality questionsLiaise with the Bid/Technical Manager and tender teams and play a part in the successful conclusion of each tender opportunityAttend tender settlements and present the programme, preliminaries and logistical aspectsProduce labour and plant schedules that reflect the nature of each individual projectContribute to the risk and opportunity scheduleConfidence in attending Client interviews, mid tender briefings etcAdvise site team and/or senior management of areas of concernDevelop skills of other planning staff Experience and qualifications Appropriate Civil Engineering Qualification (HNC / Degree etc.)Minimum 5 years' site leadership experience within Civil EngineeringExperienced user of Microsoft Project (Primary) and Primavera P6 (Secondary)Experience planning a range of Civil Engineering Schemes - values 0.5m - 10mUK driving licence Salary and Benefits Competitive basic salary and annual bonusCompany car, car allowance or travel allowance26 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPrivate HealthcareCompany contributory pension scheme This is a superb opportunity to join an established but growing business working with opportunity for career progression.
