The Councils service operates nine residential homes which are all rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.As a Residential Care Worker, youll join one of our small group homes, helping to provide high-quality care that delivers the best possible outcomes for looked after young people.Youll work with our residents to help them build independence, while ensuring their safety and advocating for their educational and developmental needs.Youll take a restorative approach to work, building relationships that empower children and their families. Youll contribute to the development of care plans and help to address challenging behaviours, with the goal of enhancing young peoples lives and access to opportunities.The ideal candidateTo succeed in this role youll need to hold a Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, as well as experience working with children.Youll have a good understanding of Childrens Home Regulations and the Children act 1989, with a commitment to the legislations guidance.You will be patient and understanding, with an ability to approach challenging situations with empathy.
