This role will ensure appropriate Standard Operating Procedures are maintained for all work carried out under the permit-to-work system at HPC.This is a full-time permanent position based onsite at Hinkley Point C.Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:Ensure all permits are issued in a timely mannerApprove or reject any permits which do not meet the required standardEnsure copies of permits, or records of their issue, are kept for a specified period to enable auditing or incident investigationBuild and maintain strong relationships with the permit to work team and client representativesInitiate and carry out site audits to ensure compliance with company and clients procedures and processesWhat were looking for:Engineering qualification/relevant experience where it can be demonstrated that safety management was a core module of that qualification/experienceAn understanding of permits and the reasons for the use of permits and the surrounding controls is essentialProven ability to perform in a safety-oriented capacityExcellent written and oral communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of risk management practicesWorking knowledge of CDM regulationsNuclear experience (or experience within a highly regulated industry) would be an advantageWe're always evolving our benefits to ensure we're attracting and retaining great people.
