As the Hospitality Assistant, you will assist the Retail Manager and Retail Supervisor to deliver seamless service to all areas of the department, serving guests to the highest standard and according to Searcys procedures and policies.116 Pall Mall is a stunning Georgian venue dating back to 1820 in the heart of London. Originally designed by John Nash, the architect behind Marble Arch and Brighton Pavilion. This venue is one of our flagship sites based on Pall Mall with a vast array of decadent event spaces.As a Hospitality Assistant, you will receive the following industry-leading benefits:50% discount across Searcys venuesEnrolment into the Searcys pension schemeUp to 38 days annual leave (dependent on job role)Access to everyday discounts and communication portalEmployee assistance programmeEnrolment into Searcys Champagne SchoolMeals provided on shift when working within one of our venuesAnnual celebration eventCycle to work schemeYour birthday off to celebrate in styleA day off to volunteer / give back to the charity of your choiceJob DescriptionThe Hospitality Assistant will be supporting, monitoring, and serving all food and drinks to customers/clients/guests and clearing throughout the event.Job Type: Full Time / Part timeSalary: 13.15 hourly (plus Tronc after probation)Responsibilities:Welcome customers on arrival, greeting them in a friendly and hospitable mannerDeliver exceptional customer service to all clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfactionAbide by company policies and departmental procedures/trainingsEnsure good levels of stock are displayed and kept on record, maintaining good stock rotation throughout the dayAnswer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricingTake customers' orders for food and drink and prepare and/or deliver them, whenever necessary and instructed by the line managerClear tables, set up rooms, and replenish stations according to department procedures and manager instructionsFollow departmental procedures when carrying out opening/closing dutiesDeal effectively and courteously with customer complaints, and refer them to the line manager if necessaryMaintain a high level of cleanliness and follow all Health, Hygiene, and Safety requirements as described in the Searcy Health & Safety PolicyMaintain composure in a fast-paced environment while responding urgently and appropriately to any concernsPresent in professional appearance and according to provided dress code.Qualifications:Excellent product knowledge (food/beverage)Excellent communication skillsTakes the initiativeExcellent time managementSupportive / Team playerStrong presentation skillsExcellent customer care skillsAdditional Information:We are the oldest caterer in the UK, having been founded in 1847.
