The Trust is going through an exciting period with a major new capital build redevelopment programme.The successful candidate should have an interest in red cells and general haematology as essential requirements; however, there is flexibility within the job description to pursue further specific interests in the field of non-malignant haematology based on the interest of the individual. The appointee will join a team of 5 Consultants and 1 Associate Specialist offering a full non-malignant haematology service across the Trust.The post holder is, in broad terms, intended to:Provide senior support for the red cell, general haematology, and haemostasis and thrombosis services (clinical and laboratory)Provide senior support for the liaison service for red cells, general haematology, and haemostasis and thrombosisAttend clinics in haemoglobinopathy and general haematology. There is flexibility within the job plan to include a thrombosis clinic depending on the interest of the successful candidateSupport the non-malignant inpatient haematology service including management of patients with red cell disorders within the region's sickle cell and thalassaemia network (ward attending in rotation)Participate in the outpatient management of patients with non-malignant haematology conditionsContribute to the teaching and training in haematology at the Hospital and the University School of Medicine to medical students, medical staff, nurses, and biomedical scientistsOur client is happy to issue Certificates of Sponsorship to suitably qualified overseas doctors; however, GMC registration and relevant experience are essential for this position.If this Consultant in Non-Malignant Haematology vacancy is of interest to you, please apply below and we will arrange a discussion.#J-18808-Ljbffr
