JOB DETAILS: Location: Rochester PAYE Salary: 16.80 p/h up to 40 hours / overtime after 40 hours at 21.00 p/h UMBRELLA PAYE salary also available on request Employment Type: Temp to perm and ad hoc options available Shift: Days with early start, rolling rota (5 days on 1 off, 5 days on 2 off, including weekends) Job Type: Full-time Job Description: We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers with Cat D PVC experience to join our esteemed client for a temp to perm role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company based in Rochester. Within the role you need to cover various trailer work such as fridge, curtain, low loader and container work. And also, with the PCV Qualification this is to drive 30 seater buses to transport staff from various sites in Kent in the morning and afternoon. PCV driving could increase during harvest period to allow people to work on clients various farms Shifts will operate on a rolling rota: 5 days on 1 off 5 days on 2 off Include weekends Key Responsibilities: Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicle and bus according to company and legal guidelines Loading and unloading using either a forklift truck or an electric pump truck (full training provided). Ensure all goods are transported safely and securely. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Conduct vehicle checks Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with the logistics team and customers. Requirements: Valid UK HGV Class 1 & Cat D PVC licence Valid CPC card Valid Taco card Proven experience in similar roles. Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed. Benefits: Competitive hourly rate.
