Tunnelling Site and Section EngineersSalary: 40,000 to 50,000Any additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.Location: South East LondonWe have an exciting opportunity to work on a Large Major Civil Engineering project for a Tier 1 Contractor leading the 1.9bn project.This construction programme started in March and the latest phase of the 1bn LPT2 project which will see 32.5km of tunnel built to house electricity transmission cables 30 metres underground. The new cables will replace three circuits that currently run under the surface of roads between Wimbledon in the southwest to Crayford in the southeast.To be suitable for the position you must have:Tunneling, TBM and/or Shaft project experience with a contractor.Relevant Qualifications in Civil EngineeringWorked on heavy civils projects in Rail, Civils, Highways or Power sectorsAlthough not essential it would also be advantageous if you have:HNC / HND or degree in Civil engineering, Mining or TunnelingRole Information:As part of the Engineering team, the Section Engineers & Site Engineers will support the Agent and Project Managers and contribute to the delivery of one or more sites within the project.Other responsibilities will include:Producing detailed reports and providing technical information.Coordinating and supervising site investigation works and planning.Surveying and setting out.Scheduling materials for ordering.Organising site operations in accordance with the agreed programme.Liaising with consultants and subcontractors.Monitoring the work of site operatives and subcontractors.Ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements.Arranging testing of materials.Resolving any technical problems that may arise.To be considered for the above please submit your CV or contact Jay on 07833 226 563 for an informal discussion.#J-18808-Ljbffr
