Role Overview The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing high-intensity Passive Fire Protection (PFP) projects in live hospitals environments, ensuring strict adherence to safety, compliance, and programme requirements. The Project Manager will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with clients, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery. The role requires a strong understanding of Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations, health, and safety legislation, and PFP industry standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated fire safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Delivery Lead and manage large-scale Passive Fire Protection projects or high-volume capital works from inception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Develop and maintain project programmes, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS). Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, fire safety legislation, and client-specific requirements. Compliance and Quality Assurance Maintain full compliance with BS 476, BS 9999, Building Regulations Part B, ASFP Technical Guidance, FIRAS Accreditation, and all other relevant standards. Oversee third-party accreditation and ensure work meets audit requirements. Work with the QA team, ensuring all fire stopping and fire door installations are documented correctly via Bolster, FieldView, or equivalent QA systems. Health, Safety and CDM Responsibilities Ensure strict compliance with CDM Regulations, including client Principal Designer and Principal Contractor obligations. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to company and legislative health and safety policies. Support the development and enforcement of fire safety strategies, permits to work, and hazard control measures. Site and Subcontractor Management Supervise site teams and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently. Conduct regular progress meetings and site walk-throughs, addressing any project risks or issues proactively. Manage materials, logistics, and sequencing of works to prevent delays and disruptions. Client and Stakeholder Engagement Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, and site management teams. Attend pre-start meetings, progress updates, and handover discussions. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring full transparency on progress, risks, and compliance requirements. Qualifications and Experience Proven experience as a Project Manager in Passive Fire Protection (PFP), high-volume fire safety remediation, or large-scale capital works projects. Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, risk management, and fire safety compliance Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports. Experience with QA software (Bolster, FieldView, or similar) for tracking PFP works and certification. Working knowledge of Building Safety Act 2022, ASFP Guidance, and FIRAS accreditation requirements. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, SSSTS, or NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Supervision are highly desirable or equivalent Why Join Us This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company at a pivotal time.
