Ecologist - Temp 12 months - 16.82 per hour PAYE London/Epsom Multinational engineering, design, project management and consulting services company is seeking an experienced Ecologist to join their ecology team in London and the southeast. This is a temporary role to start ASAP for an initial 12-month period and will pay 16.82 per hour PAYE. The Ecologist will support to deliver a diverse range of challenging and exciting projects and will help design and apply new approaches to the organisations work. The Ecologist will plan, coordinate and undertake field surveys; analysing and interpreting survey results. The ideal Ecologist will have the following knowledge, skills and experience: A degree or equivalent in Ecology or a closely related field Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM). Field Identification Skills Certificate (FISC) Level 3 or above (desirable), or be able to demonstrate that skills are equivalent to this. Strong protected species survey skills, including demonstrable competency to capable level in line with CIEEMs Competency Framework to lead protected species surveys is essential. Level 1 or Level 2 survey licence for bats is desirable. Protected species survey licence Working knowledge and experience of UK Habitat survey, habitat condition assessments, and the Defra Biodiversity Metric.
