Quantity Surveyor My clients are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis to be based at their regional office in Leeds. My clients projects include housing, extra care & retirement living projects. The successful candidate will be expected to be responsible for overall commercial management of several construction schemes. Key Accountabilities: - Build working relationships with supply chain, consultants, and clients where appropriate. - Procurement of sub-contractors in line with target programme and company policy - Contract administration of sub-contracts - Timely and accurate assessment and payment of sub-contractors' applications and issue of payment notifications to sub-contractor - Measurement of quantities both on site and from drawings, where required - Timely and accurate evaluation of variations/provisional sum expenditure and monitoring of the same - Civils -Weekly direct labour & plant subcontractor payments if required - Accurate production of internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations in line with the Commercial reporting timetable - Ensure good quality & accurate records are maintained - Delay identification/notification/ in tandem with project team - Effective change management in line with contract - Manage and minimise non recoverable costs on projects - Price and effectively agree all project variations Experience & Qualifications: - Relevant HND, Degree in Quantity Surveying, Built environment or equivalent, desirable - Minimum of three years' experience working on projects within construction sector - Working knowledge of contract conditions such as NEC,JCT - Proficient in the use of MS Office - Appropriate CSCS card -desirable - Valid Driving licence On offer is a very attractive salary, car package, annual bonus, generous holiday allowance, contributory pension scheme and life assurance.
