Compliance Manager RemoteWere working with a rapidly growing payments technology business that is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a fully remote role, reporting into the General Counsel (Head of Legal, HR and Compliance), and offers the opportunity to take ownership of key compliance functions within a fast-paced and regulated environment.The roleThe Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing audit programmes (including SOC 1 and SOC 2), overseeing ISO certification processes, leading vendor compliance efforts, and ensuring the organisation meets its legal, regulatory, and industry obligations. Youll be working closely with cross-functional teams, providing guidance on compliance matters and supporting the development of internal policies and controls.Key responsibilities include: Leading internal and external audits, including SOC 1 and SOC 2, ensuring readiness and full compliance Managing ISO certification processes and documentation Driving remediation plans following any audit findings Overseeing the vendor compliance programme, including third-party risk assessments Ensuring contracts include appropriate compliance language in collaboration with legal Staying current with relevant regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, and AML Advising internal stakeholders on compliance matters and supporting business initiatives Designing and delivering internal compliance training where needed Collaborating across departments (IT, Legal, HR, Finance, Operations) to embed compliance processes Preparing reports and updates for senior leadership on audits, vendor management and regulatory mattersWhat were looking for: Strong experience with SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO certifications, and vendor management In-depth understanding of the payments or fintech regulatory landscape Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, and AML Experience working cross-functionally and influencing at senior levels Comfortable managing multiple compliance projects and responding to evolving risksQualifications: Degree in Law, Business, Information Security, or a related field Relevant certifications such as CISA, CCEP, or ISO-related qualifications are a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to work independently and manage complex audit or compliance activitiesThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a broad, impactful compliance role within a modern tech-driven business.
