Processing over 101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed, releasing time to drive innovation and focus on higher value activities.Job Overview:We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a talented professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in aligning information technology solutions with complex business initiatives.As a Business Analyst specialising in the London Market Insurance industry, you will serve as the bridge between technical and non-technical personnel. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth analyses of market dynamics, internal business goals, and client needs. You'll be the go-to expert in understanding and aligning information technology solutions with business objectives for multiple, complex accounts.Essential Job Functions:Plans, designs, and recommends business processes to improve and support business activities.Analyzes and documents clients' business requirements and processes and communicates these requirements by constructing conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates from the organization.Creates test scenarios and develops test plans to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design. Assists in analyzing testing results throughout the project.Provides input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develops business specifications to support these modifications.Facilitates meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.Assists in coordinating business analyst tasks on information technology projects and provide support to other team members.Assists in analyzing testing results in all phases.Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried out throughout the entire project.Assists in providing time estimates for project-related tasks.Assists with developing the methods and procedures required to identify whether current business goals and objectives meet organizational needs.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or related field preferredModerate experience of business analysisExperience working with the interface of information technology with functional groups within an organizationExperience working with business processes and re-engineeringExperience working with computer programming concepts and basic languageOther Qualifications:Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team membersKnowledge of London Market systems and claims and/or premium submission processesKnowledge relating to London Market and Global messaging standards such as EDI or ACORD messagingExperience working on digital transformation projectsGood knowledge of state transitions and workflows during message exchanges between carriers & brokers.Good communication skillsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsPresentation skills to present to management and customersPersonal computer and business solutions software skillsGood ability to work in a team environment with multiple team membersWillingness to travelWork Environment:Remote with occasional travel possibly required to London, and Chatham offices.Travel to clients is required.What we can do for you:Competitive compensationPension schemeDXC Select (benefits package)Perks at WorkDXC incentives
