This role involves managing and overseeing all customs-related activities for a prestigious client, ensuring compliance with international data integrity standards and customs regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a deep understanding of customs procedures and international trade laws.Day-to-day of the role:Ensure all export activities comply with UK and international customs regulations, including the preparation and submission of accurate customs declarations.Maintain the integrity of data related to international shipments, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations.Develop and implement custom solutions to optimize the export process, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and international trade laws, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.Act as the primary point of contact with HMRC and other customs authorities, ensuring smooth and compliant export operations.Provide training and support to internal teams on customs procedures and data integrity best practices.Conduct regular audits of customs activities and prepare reports for management, highlighting areas for improvement and compliance status.Required Skills & Qualifications:In-depth knowledge of UK and international customs regulations, including HMRC guidelines.Strong understanding of data protection laws and international data transfer regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with HMRC's online services and tools.Benefits:Opportunity to work with a historic and leading organisation in the postal service industry.Hybrid working model allowing flexibility.Exposure to complex international trade and customs scenarios.To apply for this Customs Consultant position, please submit your CV.
