PV Project Development Manager UK Scale-Up in the Renewable Energy Sector (Full Remote) - (Contract Based)For an innovative start-up set to expand both in the European and U.S. markets, I am looking for a PV Project Development Manager for the UK branch.The client I represent is one of the most revolutionary AI-driven start-ups, offering a unique algorithm developed by its technical team. This technology identifies the most suitable land for solar projects, assesses associated risks, and makes them available to solar energy developers.With a proven track record of success, the company has already identified over 11,000 hectares of land in France and began its expansion into Italy, Germany and UK, recognizing it as one of the most profitable markets.Boasting a contracted revenue of 10M in 2024, the company is set to double this figure in 2025 and projects 50M in revenue by 2026.As one of the first team members in the UK branch, the Project Development Manager Italy will take a leading role in local operations.Responsibilities: Market Expansion: Lead the entry into the UK market by identifying opportunities and setting up essential processes.Grid Mapping & Site Identification: Analyze and map substations to assess grid connection potential.Data Integration: Work with the IT team to structure and input key project data into company systems.Regulatory Consultation: Liaise with the French team to align on UK-specific permitting, land acquisition, and energy regulations.Stakeholder Communication: Maintain relationships with local authorities, grid operators, and landowners.Occasional Travel: Some travel to Paris for coordination with the headquarters team.Requirements: 2 to 5 years of experience within the Development of utility scale PV projects Having developed at least 2/3 projects PV projects in UKWell versed with the rules, regulations and the permitting phase in UKKnowledge of GIS tools and land scouting techniques is a plusAbility to work autonomously in a new market setup.What they can offer:Remote role Possibility to grow professionally e become the future Director of the UK Country Working in an international environment Concrete chance to expand the business of the country and play a significant role
