Made Possible.The foodservice packaging site in Winsford, Cheshire is looking to recruit a skilled shift maintenance engineer to join the maintenance team.JOB PURPOSETo ensure Production Machinery is maintained & repaired to a high standard to enable maximum production speeds with minimum interruptions and breakdowns.To ensure Maintenance & Service records are maintainedTo devise, fabricate, and install, improvements to Production Machines.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESCarry out planned maintenance on plant & equipment to a high standardRespond to breakdowns on Production machinesInstall and relocate production equipmentSpecify & order spare partsComplete maintenance recordsComplete all paperwork required to place orders and book in partsRead Electrical & Mechanical DrawingsCarry out Mechanical Fault findingCarry out Pneumatic Fault FindingRecord work carried out on a daily Time SheetLiaise with other departmentsSKILLS/QUALSAbility to read Mechanical DrawingsGood Mechanical skillsCarry out Mechanical Fault FindingElectrical knowledge preferred but not essentialExperience working in a high speed, high pressure production environmentAs an experienced Mechanical engineer you will have at least 5 years experience working in a manufacturing backgroundCity & Guilds qualification or equivalentINTERPERSONAL SKILLSHighly responsible and conscientiousGood communicatorReliable and flexible with strong work ethic.Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to variable workload.Punctual, presentable and with good attendance.Will be working in very fast paced environment so you must be experienced in dealing with pressure and be highly organised with an ability to multi-task and manage ones own time.Pro-active and can do attitude required.Hours of work 40 hours per week.
