Youll collaborate across departments and with external partners to ensure compliance with legislation, develop robust plans, and test resilience through practical exercises. Key Responsibilities Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Development: Collaborate with departments to develop, review, and maintain comprehensive emergency and business continuity plans (BCPs). Conduct Business Impact Analyses to identify critical services and prioritize their continuity. Develop recovery plans to ensure effective responses to major disruptions. Provide professional advice to ensure the consistent application of best practices. Training and Exercises: Design and deliver training programs to enhance emergency planning and business continuity awareness. Prepare and coordinate exercises to test plans and arrangements, ensuring readiness and resilience. Strategic Reporting and Risk Management: Prepare reports for senior leadership on emergency preparedness and continuity efforts. Ensure risk assessments align with the Community Risk Register and organizational service plans. Collaboration and Compliance: Liaise with senior officers, elected members, and external partners (e.g., emergency services and health authorities) to enhance response capabilities.
