With over 1,400 dedicated employees in Australia, the UK, Europe, Asia, South Africa, New Zealand and North and South America, it is our teamwork that sets us apart.About the roleAs a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be required to assist the Tax Manager in the management and preparation of tax analyses and calculations to meet tax and statutory compliance requirements across a broad range of taxes for the UK consolidated group, including foreign subsidiaries and branches.You will work both independently and collaboratively with the wider Finance teams and the wider business. To be successful in this role, you will require an analytical approach and can demonstrate a sound understanding of accounting and tax compliance. Key responsibilities include:Assisting the Tax Manager in managing and meeting all tax filing deadlines of the group and payments of taxes (predominantly Corporate Taxes and VAT)Generating the 1st review of detailed analysis and calculations prepared by Tax AnalystPreparing more complicated analyses for all tax returns and month end / year-end tax packsReviewing all tax returns prepared by external advisors for foreign subsidiaries and branches, ready for Tax Manager sign offManaging monthly SAO testing to ensure tests performed in real time and issues investigated and resolvedManaging the preparation of PAYE Settlement Agreement return process, review analysis and calculations prepared by Tax AnalystAssisting in tax statutory reporting where necessaryFurther responsibilities:Assisting with any ad hoc queries, analyses and projects as requiredContinuously improve and document procedures and controls for all aspects of the roleWhat youllbring:Tax qualified (CTA)2 years' experience in a similar roleAccounting/financial reporting experience (preferrable)BehavioursGood organisational skills, ability to prioritise and multitaskGood self-starter and quick learnerContinuous improvement mindsetWorks well under pressureProactive and eager to learnRight first-time focusAbility to effectively schedule workload and meet deadlinesFunctional Skills & KnowledgeGood understanding of accounting and tax compliance requirementsGood tax technical knowledge in chosen tax specialism Awareness of tax principles across a range of taxesGood attention to detail, dedicated to providing quality, error free workStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent numerical, analytical and data analysis skillsConfident user of ExcelExperience and interest in tax risk work including governance and controls (SAO, BRR) would be advantageousWhat you can expect: Accolade Wines will provide the ideal climate and a hand-picked rewards package for you to make a difference in our successful and growing business.
