Legal and Procurement LeadDepartment: Finance, HR & LegalWe are seeking a dynamic Legal and Procurement Lead to provide expert legal support and guidance across our organization. This role is ideal for a legal professional with experience in the architectural or construction industry, offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with Directors, the Executive Board, and managers.As the primary point of contact for all legal matters, youll focus on contract management, compliance, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, managing insurance renewals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and addressing legal disputes.Key ResponsibilitiesContract ManagementDraft, review, and negotiate RIBA appointments, JCT contracts, NDAs, and sub-consultancy agreements.Maintain appointment registers and ensure compliance with confidentiality, copyright, and intellectual property laws.Support project delivery with strategic legal advice.Insurance & Risk ManagementOversee Professional Indemnity (PI) and general insurance renewals, claims, and policy management.Implement risk management practices, including due diligence and early claim notifications.Legislation & ComplianceMonitor and implement changes in industry legislation (e.g., Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act).Develop policies to ensure company-wide compliance.Dispute ResolutionAssist with mediation, adjudication, and court proceedings as needed.Advise on disputes and pursue outstanding debts.Facilities ManagementManage property leases and service contracts for office facilities.Key Competencies & RequirementsDegree or qualification in Law, Business, or Insurance.Experience in insurance, contract management, and legal roles, ideally in the construction or property sector.Knowledge of RIBA appointments and industry-specific regulations is a plus.Proficiency in claims management and document management software.Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.Apply today
