If you want to contribute to meaningful work and be part of an organization that truly believes when you win, we all win, and when you fail, we all learn, then were eager to hear from you.We are looking to expand our Mechanical Engineering capability in all levels of experience and are keen to hear from you if you feel youre ready to take the next step in your career.You must be a UK National and qualify for Security Clearance.Work ExperienceWork transparently with various engineering discipline leads / teams to provide clear and concise reports and information regarding progress and management of Risk and Opportunities in relation to the Engineering activities.Bring learnings & operational best practices from other engagements.Undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigationsDevelop detailed requirement specificationsSupport projects as they evolve through the project engineering lifecyclesAssess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertake risk management in specialist rolesCommunicate and liaise effectively with a wide set of project stakeholdersSupport governance meetings.Think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problemsBe adaptable, as project requirements evolve, and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes in the projectCompile and peer review project and technical reports.Domain KnowledgeDesign and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliabilityDevelop a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplinesResearch and develop productsDevelop and use new materials and technologiesDevelop, test and evaluate theoretical designsProduce details of specifications and outline designsRecommend modifications following prototype test resultsUse research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly those in mathematical modelling and computer-aided designConsider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraintsExperience in a marine/dock environment would be beneficialDesired Skills:Good Communication skills - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.Ability to handle discussions / communications independently.Works in a Collaborative environment.
