Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Portfolio & Alliance Management, this role is responsible for driving business operations both within discrete cross-functional program teams for therapeutic and/or research programs, as well as analytical business support on strategic initiatives across the company.Key Responsibilities Manages cross-functional program team(s) in partnership with technical Asset Lead(s) to deliver program milestones.Drives high-performing, collaborative, cross-functional project team meetings and ways of working to adapt to situations and ensure optimal project delivery.Builds strategic and operational program plans, working closely with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of project outputs, scheduling, and managing timelines and resource requirements.Coordinates materials to communicate program progress to internal executive leadership, PSC quarterly reviews, Board discussions, as well as for joint governance meetings with external collaborators.Works alongside internal scientists, team members, and external legal firms to manage a business operations workflow through effective contract negotiations (SRAs, MSAs, MTAs, CDAs, etc.).Drives the development of strategic initiatives (e.g., capability builds, new pipeline) by providing analytical support to define business cases for consideration by the executive team and board.Operates across a range of topics, collaborating with the VP and Chief Business Officer to drive priorities across the portfolio as business needs evolve.Experience RequiredStrong project management capabilities, developed through working in biotech or biopharma or strategy consultingKnowledge of drug research and development processes and regulatory, reimbursement and commercial environmentsAn ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and to prioritise the workload in a flexible manner whilst maintaining attention to detailAbility to model budgets, costs, revenues, forecast etc. in excel to support strategic business decisionsProven ability to consistently deliver projects to time, cost and quality standardsExcellent interpersonal skills, structured verbal and written communication skills to drive internal and external stakeholder managementStrategic mindset with the ability and/or willingness to facilitate the integration of scientific, clinical and business considerationsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with peers, executives and project team membersAbility to build and maintain strong external relationships with vendors, collaborators, consultants and KOLs.
