Job Specification Corporate Actions Administrator (Temporary Contract) Location St Pauls, London Aim & purpose of the role:To ensure the accurate and timely processing of both mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions To ensure all UK & Overseas Dividends are processed to client accounts and reconciled (where applicable) in a timely mannerTo provide support and resolve queries from Investment Managers while liaising with various custodians Key accountabilities/responsibilities:Identify and process all Corporate Actions such as Rights Issues, Open Offers, Redemptions, Bonus Issues, schemes of Arrangements, Conversions, Takeovers, IPO/Placings, AGM & Proxy Voting, S793 & SRDII, etc., and ensure clients are informed ahead of deadlines.Process IPO and Book BuildsDealing with enquiries from Investment Managers and liaising with multiple Custodians to reconcile and provide updates on Corporate EventsEnsuring Tax Vouchers are received from Registrars & Custodians and proceeding with the daily processing of all Cash, Accumulation and Reinvestment Dividends to client accounts Instruct FXs and process to client accountsCategorise clients into Crest & Overseas sub-accounts according to Tax classifications and ensure in-house system is updated and maintained accordinglyIdentify and resolve outstanding Cash & Unit differences by applying knowledge and using in-house reconciliation programsAccurately entering and maintaining records on Internal SystemsEnsure client Valuation and Custody records are accurately updated and in a timely manner to comply with CASS rulesParticipate in key departmental projects and undertake any additional Operational tasks when requested by the Line Manager/Senior ManagementPerson Specification/Skills:Self-starter with a dynamic, proactive and "can do attitude Highly organised with a very strong attention to detail, with a particular focus on accuracy and numeracy abilityBe able to work effectively during pressure periods while prioritising and multi-taskingAbility to react to events decisively and effectively and suggest innovative solutions to problemsEducation/Experience:At least 2 years experience working in a Corporate Actions Team within a financial institution Understand and interpret complex Corporate Action documentationGood knowledge of Outlook, Excel & WordPrepared and able to learn a number of systemsExperience using the CREST system and a good understanding of using Custodian servicesWorking to tight deadlines under pressureWilling to share knowledge effectively and show a flexible work approach within a teamSelf-sufficient with the ability to prioritise and multitask
