To accelerate this, they are expanding their Engineering team and looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Contract) to help build scalable, high-performance systems that will power the next generation of their platform.What Youll DoDesign, build, and maintain backend services that are scalable, reliable, and secure.Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Operations, and Growth teams to develop impactful solutions.Develop cloud-based applications with an emphasis on performance and maintainability.Lead and mentor engineers, fostering an environment of technical excellence.Contribute to a strong engineering culture that values collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving.What Were Looking ForCore Skills & Experience:Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript.Deep understanding of cloud-based architectures, preferably AWS.Experience with Docker, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation).Knowledge of security best practices and observability tools.Effective communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset.Bonus Points For:Experience building and maintaining high-traffic server-side applications.Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, Rust, Go, or Python.Background in healthcare or fintech.Experience developing frontend applications using React.
