Our core values begin at the very top and span the broad reach of our global community.We offer dynamic careers for those individuals looking to be a part of something bigger and provide unequivocal opportunities for growth within the organization.PSA BDP serves over 5,000 customers, including some of the world's leading multinational companies within the chemical, retail & consumer, life sciences & pharmaceuticals, and electric vehicle & industrial verticals.ScopeResponsible for day-to-day processing of customs entries ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations and AEO.Ensuring timely and accurate Customs Clearance of shipments, within department KPIs.Confidently discuss and resolve issues with customers and Customs Officers.ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsEnsure smooth and timely customs process flowUnderstand all elements of the import and export customs processProcessing Ocean/Road/Air Import and Export customs entriesEnsure accurate and timely data into our customs software systemVerify documents received for import & export customs purposes are compliant and correctEnsure correct preference is applied to goods if applicable and that any relevant customs procedures and regimes such as IPR, OPR and CFSP are applied where necessary.Complete CVED and arrange for payment to be sent to Port Health where necessaryManage any Route 1, Route 3 or declaration release issuesLiaise with customers regarding valuation, classification and preference issues where necessary taking into account AEO regulationsMeet customs compliance targets, ongoingEscalate any challenges to CHB Senior team, when necessaryOther ResponsibilitiesAssisting customers with CDS Cash Payments to HMRC where necessaryKeep up to date on changes to regulatory environmentPotential shift workAuthoritiesAuthorised to perform responsibilities autonomously, using initiative to escalate any material impact to the business, as appropriate.Identify any opportunities for improvements in overall service quality and business safety.Key Competencies / SkillsGeneric StandardsGood Communication skills: Oral and WrittenCultural KnowledgeIndependent and motivated, requiring little or no immediate supervisionAbove average computer literacyFunctional StandardsAttention to detailStrong organizational skillsAbility to handle competing prioritiesProfessional interaction with clients, government officials and Operational Teams within PSA BDPDimensions / KPIsA gatekeeper for the Organizations liability in many areas, focus on proper resolution to protect BDP must be a priorityKey InterfacesAll customersHMRCPort Health AuthorityTrading StandardsOperations DepartmentAccounts DepartmentQualifications / ExperienceRequired -1 year experience in EU regulatory framework for Importing / exportingMinimum 2 years general import/export experienceExperience using Destin8 & CNS preferredExperience using Sequoia system preferred
