Job Description:Project QSHE AdvisorTitle Position Reports to:QSHE DepartmentJob Purpose:Take responsibility for the application of the Quality, Safety, Health & Environment (QSHE) management system and the continued promotion of the Dalkia values.Promote an enthusiastic and positive QSHE culture with an engaged workforce striving for continuous improvement in QSHE performance.Aims and Objectives:To focus on the expected behaviours for achieving significant results and positive outcomes for the business thus ensuring that Dalkia maintain its leading-edge status within the industry and an excellent reputation with our customersProvide positive leadership within the area of operation and promote QSHE best practiceTo support to all relevant parties, providing advice and a solution-based approach to work-based issues that arise during the project deliveryFoster QSHE awareness within the project team, through the application of appropriate training platforms and education programmes to reinforce the understanding, aided by effective internal communications programme.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Advise the project management on all relevant aspects of QSHE protection with emphasis on sound methods of working and systems to identify hazardsCarry out QSHE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and risksCarry out QSHE inspections and ensure the coordination of risk assessments and method statementsProvide support in the implementation and continuous improvement of QSHE procedures, including risk assessments and PTWProduce QSHE performance reports based on audits and inspections as required.Monitor and report on the implementation of the approved QSHE objectivesPromptly alert line and functional management to significant accidents and incidentsInvestigate accidents, incidents (including near misses) and dangerous occurrences in order to make recommendations to prevent recurrencesMonitor and report on operational QSHE performance and make recommendations for improvement. Monitor to ensure that effective action is taken.Assist with the identification and delivery of QSHE training needs including the presentation of formal courses and on-site certificationReview QSHE training systems and implement any required changesReview existing QSHE systems/procedures for current maintenance contracts and implement systems/procedures for new contracts incorporating current legislation and new legislation as it arisesAssist with the delivery of inductions, toolbox talks and setting to work of project-based personnelHealth & Safety:All employees are required to fulfil their legal duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts and omissions, and to follow all guidance and instructions given in this respect.
