My client, a specialist consultancy are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to work on a Water project and be based in the West Midlands on a hybrid basis. This position can be a permenant or contract (inside ir35) role. The Role: We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to work on a water project seconded to the client in the West Midlands area. Key responsibilities include: Developing and managing contracts including scoping, pricing, and schedule creation. Working closely with the procurement team on tendering, supplier selection, and contract awards. Providing accurate live forecasting and reporting, ensuring project financials are properly managed and monitored. Managing costs, assessing variances, and ensuring compliance with project budgets. Delivering robust project controls and reporting on project progress, including risk, opportunities, and financial audits. Engaging with site teams to ensure continuous commercial performance improvement and delivering project innovations. Key Candidate Criteria: Strong commercial experience in the Utilities sector Water project experience is desirable Extensive pre- and post-contract experience in a commercial role. NEC Contract experience Minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a consulting/contracting or customer-focused commercial environment.
