We are seeking dedicated and passionate Senior UCPs to join our team in Staffordshire on a full-time or part-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the clinical navigation of the out-of-hours (OOHs) queue to ensure patient safety and service productivity. You will play a key role in overseeing patient journeys, prioritising cases, and making sure local pathways and resources are utilised effectively and within appropriate timeframes. Additionally, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and support to both clinical and non-clinical staff, helping to ensure that high-quality, evidence-based healthcare is delivered at all times. Your Day to Day... This role is part of a multidisciplinary/multiagency team committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based healthcare that meets the immediate needs of our patients. You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and delivering a high standard of care. As a Clinical Lead, you will: Collaborate with the Operational Team Leader/Shift Manager to monitor and address clinical risks within the queue. Prioritise cases and navigate calls to the most appropriate clinician, ensuring effective use of local pathways and resources within a timely manner. Take clinical responsibility for patient journeys and care endpoints. Communicate with all staff, ensuring awareness of roles and responsibilities, and provide real-time management of any issues, concerns, or incidents. Initiate escalation procedures and liaise with the on-call Senior Management Team or Bronze as needed. Act as a role model and ambassador for the service. Attend relevant meetings, conduct audits, and assist with investigations. Deputise for the Clinical Services Manager (CSM) as required. Provide clinical mentorship to staff. Qualifications, Experience & Training... Registered nurse/HCPC with at least five years' experience in urgent care or primary care. Proven leadership experience, including staff engagement and motivation. In-depth knowledge of urgent and primary care. Excellent communication skills.
