Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Home Counties (site-based role)Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + BenefitsType: Full-TimeThe position:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of large-scale new-build industrial units, specifically designed for the logistics sector, across the Home Counties (sites to be determined based on home location).This dynamic role requires a skilled professional who can handle multiple projects simultaneously while providing hands-on site-based support. Due to the nature of the projects and locations, you must have a full driving license and be comfortable traveling to various sites as required.Key responsibilities:Oversee and manage the financial performance of multiple new-build industrial projects, ensuring delivery within budget and timelinesDevelop, monitor, and manage project budgets, providing accurate forecasting and cost reportingLead the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standardsPrepare and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risksConduct valuations, certify subcontractor payments, and ensure detailed record-keepingAssess and value variations, providing clear recommendations and justifications to stakeholdersAttend project sites regularly, working closely with site teams to ensure alignment on costs, progress, and qualityBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors, providing regular updates on financial performanceIdentify potential commercial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectivelyRequirements:Demonstrable experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor managing large-scale new-build industrial or logistics projectsProven ability to handle multiple projects at different stages of developmentStrong understanding of groundworks, steel-frame construction, and high-spec industrial finishesDegree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related fieldA full UK driving license is essential due to the site-based nature of the roleIf you wish to be considered for this opportunity then please apply now with your most up to date CV.
