POSITION: Operations Team LeadASSIGNMENT NO: 28442LOCATION: LondonPurpose of the Job:Manage the operational activities Work closely with the Operations Team Leaders and Head of Underwriting Operations to identify opportunities for further automation and improved efficiency of all partner-related processes and assist in their development/implementationWork closely with partners on query resolution and ensuring data/reports are as expectedPrincipal Accountabilities:Team Leadership:Work with the Partner-focused Digital Underwriting Assistants and Operations Team Leaders to develop and monitor performance metrics for individuals and the teamAssist with the professional development of the team (around 5 FTEs)Assist with the recruitment and selection of the teamSet objectives for the team and manage their progression towards theseHelp to establish consistent processes for Digital Underwriting Assistants and help embed this process across Underwriting OperationsManage and respond to escalations from the team regarding the use of systems in the underwriting processOperations:Maintain and monitor the flow of work between Underwriting Operations and partners to ensure items and issues are addressed in a timely and accurate mannerCo-ordinate and lead general meetings with their partners and any ad hoc workshopsAssist with the investigation and resolution of any data quality issues that are raisedIdentify root causes of issues and implement appropriate remedial action including training of new and existing staffIdentify and help implement opportunities for streamlining and improving/automating processes Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and User Guides are created, maintained and accurately reflect current proceduresAssist with the co-ordination, testing and roll out of projects and new IT initiativesAct as a central point of expertise regarding core systems and how the data capture flows through to reportingRegulatory Conduct Rules:Act with integrityAct with due skill, care and diligenceBe open and co-operative with Lloyds, the FCA, the PRA, and other regulatorsPay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairlyObserve proper standards of market conductEducation, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceStrong Operations experience within the Lloyds MarketSound knowledge of general, commercial insurance practicesKeen to identify and embrace new technologies and ways of workingCommercial awareness, with a knowledge of the insurance market and external changes which would impact on their businessGood knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance issuesEffective prioritisation and organisational skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oralExcellent numeric and analytical skills
