Due to our growing business needs we are looking to expand our design team and are looking to speak to people on varying levels from Assistant to Junior Designer.This job would suit someone from a multi-category clothing background who is used to owning their own category areas, setting and identifying key trends and who has experience of managing at least one other. This role will span Womenswear, Menswear, Kidswear and accessories. This role will sit across both Chelsea Peers and Renfold brand portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting the design team in producing creative multi- product designs that represent the latest and newest trendsWorking to briefs set by Design Manager and Head of Product that are effectively executedSupporting on general office adminConstantly generating relevant research and reporting on trends and inspiration by creating competitor shop reports, trend flashes & key itemsAssist in planning and designing new commercial ranges, taking the responsibility for everything from design concept to technical development ensuring brand pricing architecture is followed and understoodPreparing technical design files & updating CAD sheets accordingly and sending these and updated spec sheets to factoriesSourcing fabrics and trims from suppliers and factoriesLiaising and building strong relationships with factories and suppliers ensuring constant communication advising on direction, construction, key details & materials.Collaborating with the production team making sure comments and approvals are made within 24hrs of submits receivedAttending weekly fit sessionsAssisting with the preparation for sign off meetings with internal and external stakeholdersWorking closely with the buying and technical teamFollowing critical paths & key dates ensuring deadlines are met and managing daily tasksSkills and Experience RequiredStrong attention to detailFlexible with the ability to work at pace in a fast-moving environment.Ability to question the norm and make improvements as and when necessary.Good communication and organisational skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsSelf-MotivatedCurrently working at either assistant or Junior designer level.
