You will have proven experience across a range of project management, team leadership and client reporting skills that ensure you are positioned to be successful.The role forms part of the Projects SLT team, working with like-minded individuals to ensure complete coverage across the portfolio of work that we deliver.Job DescriptionAs the UK Projects Lead, based in London, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of the UK project management team who are responsible for delivering a varied portfolio of work for our key client (across multiple buildings and locations in the UK).Working in conjunction with our Commercial and Project Management Office, you will ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard, following appropriate governance and controls. You will inspire and motivate, setting a clear vision of expectation and will energise the team to work towards common goals.Maintaining open, honest and transparent communication, you will build the trust and support of your team and our client, leading by example and demonstrating integrity and accountability.You will have the ability manage conflict effectively, demonstrating the relevant level of communication and emotional intelligence required for a role at this level.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership Develop and implement the overall project management strategy to align with organisation objectivesStrategic Leadership Define priorities and oversee the project portfolio to ensure delivery of key business goalsStrategic Leadership Develop and maintain relevant supplier relationships, working with internal procurement teams to ensure a suitable preferred supplier list for project deliveryProject Oversight and Governance Ensure full alignment and compliance with the project management framework, methodologies and best practiceProject Oversight and Governance Monitor the progress of all projects to ensure timelines, budgets and quality standards are metTeam Leadership and Development Lead and inspire project managers to foster a culture of accountability and excellenceTeam leadership and Development Provide coaching, mentorship and development opportunities for team membersStakeholder Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and SLT membersStakeholder Management Act as an escalation point for project related issues and conflictsResource Management Allocate resources effectively across projects to optimise efficiency and performanceResource Management Monitor resource utilisation and resolve any capacity constraintsPerformance Management and Reporting Track and analyse project performance to ensure continuous improvementPerformance Management and Reporting Present regular updates and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders as requiredHealth and Safety Compliance Ensure that relevant Health and Safety policies are adhered to and compliance can be demonstrated across all projectsProfessional and personal competencies/qualificationsEssentialExtensive Project Management ExperienceProven success in delivering projects on time, budget and to desired qualitySignificant experience in leading, mentoring and managing project teams and other project managersCommercial accountability of 20m+ (across multiple projects)Demonstrated ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams toward achieving goalsStrong experience in overseeing a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with organisation objectivesProven ability to prioritise and manage resources across multiple projectsExcellent experience in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to manage and resolve stakeholder conflicts or competing interests effectivelyFull knowledge of information technology, Microsoft 365, MS Project etcDesirable Ideally the job holder should have been educated to at least Degree, HND or equivalent full technical standardIdeally hold a recognised qualification in project management.Experience of the Monday.com project management platform is preferred but not essentialISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
