The department works to ensure that the business is Compliant with working to legislative requirements, Policies and procedures.The Energy Division Electrical Safety Engineering Managersprincipal duty is to ensure all staff that work or operate on or near the various electricity networks conduct themselves in accordance with M Group, Energy Division, Client safety procedures and industry accreditations including NERS.The Energy Division Electrical Safety Engineering Managerreports to the Energy Division Safety, Health, Environment and Quality DirectorAs the Electrical Safety Engineering Manageryour duties & responsibilities willinclude: Ensuring all staff are determined as operationally competent for their assigned duties in writingMaintaining and developing all electrical external accreditationsMaintain written policies and procedures across the whole scope of MUS electrical workDevelop new documentation and processes as necessaryManage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to CompetencyDevelop and implement in association with other personnel electronic field recordsSupport the wider business interest including business opportunitiesRepresent MES at national forums including: Energy Network Association (ENA)Lloyds Register NERS ForumLloyds Register NERSAPNational Skills Academy for Power (NSAP)Association of Meter Operators (AMO)Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA)Skills and Knowledge Requirements: Educated to HNC or equivalent but Degree level preferredMember of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET)Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferredNICEICHold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSHHave a strong operational background preferably in association with DNOs or similar organisationsKnowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671Team ManagementHave good interpersonal skills and demonstrate clear safety behavioursHave a clear focus on operational safetyHave an understanding of the development of the power industry and its challengesM Group Energy Division are a national business and there is a requirement to travel throughout the UK and spend some nights away from home as required to undertake the role.What's in it for you?
