ROLE OVERVIEW //This position offers a unique entry point into the operational side of a prestigious law firm, providing hands-on experience with senior leaders and room for professional growth. As an Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational effectiveness of a leading global law firm. Reporting to Operations Lead, this entry-level or early career position offers the opportunity to gain insight into the strategic and operational aspects of the firm. The ideal candidate will be highly numerate, possess strong writing skills, and be adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Your work will be varied, covering process improvement to performance monitoring, making a tangible impact on the firm's operational efficiency.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm.Operational Delivery: Provide support with ongoing operational requirements (e.g. business continuity) and ad hoc projects that are aligned with the firms priorities.Risk Management: Contribute to de-risking efforts across the firm by identifying operational risks and helping ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve internal policies and processes, ensure value, and/or de-risk the firms operations and collaborate on initiatives to address these. Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other operational metrics to support continuous improvement efforts.Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to inform strategic and operational plans and projects. Drafting and Communications: Prepare first drafts of reports, presentations, emails, and other documentation for both internal and external audiences, ensuring clarity and accuracy.Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support informed operational decision-making.CANDIDATE PROFILE //Candidates for this position must have:Interest in Operations: Demonstrates a genuine interest in understanding the operations and business aspects of a professional services firm.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely.Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrates the ability to work effectively within a team and foster positive relationships with colleagues across various departments. Discretion: Maintains the highest level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and matters.Organisational Abilities: Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.Technological Competence: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and aptitude for quickly learning new tools and systems.Problem Solving: Ability to think critically, navigate ambiguity, and find creative solutions to evolving challenges.Data Skills: Comfortable working with data and data visualisation tools, performing analysis, and presenting insights.
