SRM are supporting a rapidly scaling PE backed real estate group to recruit an Investment Analyst for their small, but growing London team. The business have an innovative and growing portfolio across a number of European markets, with the likelihood of continued growthThe Investment Analyst will report directly to the Head of Group FP&A and work closely with the Group CFO, Head of Group Technology, Group Controller and key regional non-finance stakeholdersYou will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of the group. You will conduct comprehensive financial analysis and business partnering. This will include new deal underwriting, debt raising & management, trend analysis and scenario modelling, to evaluate business performance and identify key drivers of financial results to drive decision making across the group.Responsibilities:Treasury:Support group cashflow providing short-term and medium-term forecasting across the group which considers their debt and equity arrangements as part of this.Create consistent template for group finance teams to populate on regular basis.Supporting the Group CFO & Group Head of FP&A and regional teams on debt raising initiatives, liaising with lenders and advisory teams.Monitor debt compliance across the group with clear calendar in place to help manage and monitor compliance, reporting and covenant testing.Own debt models and periodic updating of those for lenders and investors.Investment Management:Own the equity models for each business and drive ownership of assumptions into regions.Collate information from the businesses on pipeline, debt and other regular reporting.Lead period valuation process across the group with external advisors and valuers.Acquisitions:Review Group Appraisal Models to support the CFO & regional teams on evaluating new acquisition opportunities presented by the regional businesses.Evolve group appraisal models to create consistent templates across the group (including levered returns) to support Investment Committee papers and decisions.Lead on collating and filing information related to Investment Committee meetings.Analytics / Research:Support the Head of Group FP&A & finance team on business analytics on operational performance from time-to-time.Support group finance in the management of the data warehouse and to produce group level insights on operational performance.Thought leader for research within the group, helping collate relevant third-party research where available.Collaboration:Lead cross functional projects to help drive regional consistency in analysis and performance.Become the thought leader for KPIs and other metrics across the business supporting finance and non-finance colleagues.Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units, and external partners, to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions.To be considered you will be/have:Proven experience in an Analytical role in Real Estate, and be highly proficient in excel and data/visual analyticsA qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA) or CFA Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional workstreams (both externally & internally).Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Experience in data manipulation and report writing in established BI tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Conjura (including SQL / DAX).Experience working in an entrepreneurial and/or private equity backed business.This role is working for a Central London based company and offers a hybrid working model (3 days a week in the office)
