Hardware Test Equipment Engineer - Contract - Rate: Up to 55 per hour (Outside IR35) - Location: Crawley, West Sussex (Onsite, with remote work when suitable) - Contract Length: 6 months initially The Role: KO2's client is seeking a Hardware Test Equipment Engineer to build an ATE Test Rig from scratch for testing a low-voltage hardware device post-manufacture. The hardware device incorporates multiple communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, RS485, RS232 etc.). Your main responsibility will be designing and building the Hardware Test Rig to test both the device and its communication interfaces. You'll work closely with a Software Test Engineer, who will develop the test software to drive the rig you create. Key Skills Required: Development of Hardware ATE Test Rigs Strong electronics knowledge Ability to collaborate with a LabVIEW Software Test Engineer Desirable (Not Essential): Experience with National Instruments Hardware Familiarity with Test Fixtures / Bed of Nails testing Hands-on skills in crimping cables, soldering, and assembly A one stage MS Teams interview can be quickly arranged.
