Casa Hotel is the highest AA rated 4-star hotel in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Anindependently owned hotel which boasts a two-rosette restaurant, 100bedrooms, 12 meeting rooms accommodating up to 280 guests and ourbeautiful Spanish themed Barca bar.Our sister hotel is the award winning 4-starPeak Edge Hotel, a luxury boutiquehotel nestled on the edge of Derbyshires Peak District National Park located 10minutes drive from Chesterfield Town Centre. The hotel has recentlyundergone beautiful renovations and extensions to our restaurant andbanqueting rooms, with plans for further extension.A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conference and EventsCoordinator to join our established sales and hospitality teams!The ideal candidate will be organised, an excellent communicator, haveexceptional attention to detail and the passion to go the extra mile for ourcustomers. Previous experience within a similar role is essential for the rightcandidate.The role will be based full time at Casa Hotel, with the possibility ofworking at our sister hotel. At least 1 year of experience in a high end corporate or hospitality venue in asimilar role. Able to work as part of a close team. Organised. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams. Great telephone manner. Knowledge of Opera Hotel Software is desired but not essential.Responsibilities will include: Responding to all enquiries in a timely, confident & professional manner,taking every opportunity to up sell and identify sales opportunities. Use the chase system to push business, invite back previous clients andaccelerate sales. Identification and development of new and existing business through researchof the local and surrounding area, development & follow-up. Achieve sales targets related to meetings and events, be aware of competitorrates and contribute ideas to the Head of Sales. Conducting client show arounds and appointments, displaying a clear &comprehensive knowledge of the venue, menus, and packages. Work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth running ofspecial events. Conduct final details meeting with the client and operationsteam member to solidify the requirements on the date of the event. Complete timed responses from inward and outward-bound enquiries, as wellas agents including Venue Directory, Conference care etc. Deal with Barca Bar and Cocina Restaurant reservations as required, largerbookings are processed on to a function sheet, pass sheet and pre-order. Producing detailed proposals for prospective clients and client contracts,liaising to ascertain their precise event requirements, and ensuring clientsaware of the full terms of business. Managing the outsourcing of provisions for each event where required.
