Deputy Home Manager Children and Young people Learning Disabilities Location: Southampton area Salary: 33,000 per annum plus an additional 3000 - 6000 per annum for sleep-in duties Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle are essential in this role. Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced DeputyManager to join their children's home in Southampton caring for children and young people who have learning disabilities, complex needs and Autism. What do you need? A minimum of3 years experienceworking within a Residential Children's home or adults supported living, learning disabilities and Autism. Minimum NVQ Level 3 or abovein Children and Young people or health and social care level 5 Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures. Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic. Experience of budgets and rotas. Full UK driving licence is essential. You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins. About the role: You will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a Service Manager and Registered Manager. You will be responsible for delivery of quality care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home and all day to day management matters. Leading your team along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child focused on obtaining the best outcomes. You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change. Responsible for supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focused training and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.
