Job Description

Job Purpose: The Estimator will be responsible for conducting and preparing tenders for selected tender bids ranging from full turnkey Retrofit inc Building Works to Term Service and Maintenance Framework contracts (M&E Based). They will be charged with the responsibility of reviewing data and documents provided to provide detailed analytical reporting and the findings reflected in our Ensign Estimating package. They will prepares updates and project estimates and ensure all administrative duties are fulfilled including organising pre and post tender meetings of which they will need to lead and arrange minutes provided to the wider team. They will assist the Commercial Manager in gathering information to be used to produce project estimates / small works and SORS management. Duties: Prepare and Host meetings for Pre and Post Tender reviews in collaboration with the Business Development team. Assisting the team by using SORs/NHF codes to value internal & external work for time and materials. Reporting Weekly on all live tenders using a scoring system. Create new tenders, using our Ensign Estimating Package. Preparing new quotations, using our Ensign Estimating Package. Instructing the team on tender packages to be issued toobtain job specific quotes for both materials/ labour & specialist sub-contractors from our supply chain or client specific suppliers. Pricing Minor works jobs and liaising with the project management team. Hold and Conduct internal handover meetings with regards to new work secured and potentially attend client meetings post award for clarification. Review completed contracts for feedback including quantum and narrative for future reference. Providing this information to the rest of the team to allow consistency with future pricing Assist all internal stakeholders with tender submittals. Provide with the help of the team detailed minutes and actions c/w timeframes from relevant meetings with all stakeholders. Skills/Qualifications: Experience in the contracting market with M&E Services and/or Building Fabric. Experience in Estimating packages and MRP Systems. (Ensign & Protean) Good communication and IT skills. Microsoft Office Suite of Products. Reporting skills, administrative and writing skills including conducting presentations. Following processes, organisation and the ability to analyse information. Professionalism, problem solving and communication skills.
